She’s getting better and better everyday. We’re able to walk her off her leash, put her in the place command, have her sit until we give her the release command and more. They really taught her so well. I’m so happy with my pup. She is continuing to blossom. She listens so well to our commands. He’s a Belgian Malinois with a lot of drive and definitely not the easiest dog to handle. But right from the first phone call, Rick made us feel so much better. He sent daily updates, videos, and pictures so we never had to wonder how things were going. He already knew some basics but had a few specific areas that really needed work, and Rick got straight to it. He honestly went way beyond what we expected. (Even taught him some extra tricks) I know there are horror stories out there about trainers using harsh methods or dogs coming back “shut down”, but Rick and Off Leash K9 couldn’t have been more different. They kept the training fun and positive, and my dog clearly LOVED working with Rick. When we picked him up, he was calmer, very happy, and noticeably better behaved. There was never a moment that we had to worry about Charley or wonder what she was learning. All of the training guarantees were delivered plus a few extra items were taught and the dog we picked back up was the same we dropped off but better! If you are on the fence about booking a training, think no more and just do it! Well worth the money, we will never again own a dog without putting her through the 2 week board and train program. Here at Off Leash K9 Training of West Virginia, we take your dog’s safety and care very seriously. In order to help ensure that you get the very best care and updates on your dog’s stay with us during their 2-week Board and Train, we incorporate a variety of safety measurements and controls. First, management and yourself (as well as anybody you choose to include) are added to a Google Photos album of your dog that is updated daily with photos (guaranteed never to exceed 48 hours even in cases of trainer illness or outstanding circumstances – because we are human too) and videos every 2 to 3 days!

Dogs will be dogs, and while Board and Train issues are far from the norm, we do have protocols in place if things do not go as planned. Should your dog’s appetite decrease during their stay, or they receive the smallest wound, you will be notified immediately via management or the trainer and given an assortment of care options that could include your trainer modifying your dog’s diet to increase calorie content and appetite, first aid, or even veterinary care. Any time your dog leaves the trainer’s home, they are outfitted with a GPS Whistle unit that allows us to keep a detailed record of outings and ensure that there is never a situation where we are unable to show the owner via screen shot, exactly where their dog is at any time of the day.

Furthermore, every Board and Train stay comes with a full before and after video that documents your dog’s training journey. You’ll see from the very first day at pickup (or right after) to the final turnover when you get to work with your transformed dog for the very first time!
